Global Merchant Outage
Upgrade Your Terminal to Prevent Payment Processing Issues
We have been notified by Global Payments, who handles certain aspects of your payment processing, that they are moving to a new Certificate Authority (CA). The CA plays a critical role in payment processing and secures debit and credit card transactions.
Global will complete this process in phases, starting with a temporary removal of the CA before it is permanently removed in mid-September.
The process will likely cause you to experience processing issues or outages on:
September 16-17, 2020: 8 a.m. – 8 a.m. EDT
To minimize any disruption to your business, we recommend that you either upgrade your terminal to a PAX A80 smart terminal or change your terminal’s connectivity type.
We know that this is an extremely tight schedule and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please know that we are doing our best to work within Global’s timeframes.
